Role: Electrical Technician Location: West Yorkshire Type: Temporary - Full Time Rate: £15 - £18 per hour Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Technician for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire to support the delivery of electrical installation and engineering programmes. This is a full-time role to start 13th April until the end of June. About the Role The Electrical Technician will play a key role in assisting teaching staff, preparing practical workshops, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, well-organised learning environment for students. This is a full-time temporary position, ideal for someone with strong practical experience in electrical installation and a commitment to supporting skills development in the FE sector. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and set up materials, tools, and resources for electrical installation sessions - Maintain and repair electrical tools, equipment, and workshop facilities - Support tutors during practical demonstrations and student assessments - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including electrical safety standards - Manage stock levels and assist with ordering electrical components and materials - Provide general technical support across the department as required Requirements - Industry experience in electrical installation or a related field - Good understanding of workshop and electrical safety regulations (e.g. wiring regulations) - Strong organisational and practical skills - Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students - Previous experience in an FE environment is desirable but not essential Candidates require a current Enhanced DBS if you do not have one, Eden Brown can obtain one on your behalf.
