Key Responsibilities Chemical Processing & Production Expereinced Counterbalance driver Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and batch chemical products following detailed production instructions. Operate mixing vessels, blending machines, pumps, and automated/semiautomated filling equipment. Fill containers including IBCs, drums, and smaller packaging formats to required specifications. Monitor temperatures, pressures, and process parameters to ensure safe, efficient production. Complete regular process checks, quality checks, and documentation. Safety & Compliance Handle chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH , PPE requirements, and site safety rules. Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure safe use of equipment. Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free working area. Report any issues, deviations, or safety concerns immediately. Warehouse & Material Handling Move raw materials, containers, and finished goods safely within the production and storage areas. Assist with loading/unloading deliveries when required. Use FLT (Counterbalance preferred) if licensed advantageous but not essential. Complete stock rotation, labelling, and chemical traceability logs. General Production Support Assist with equipment cleaning, wash-downs, and changeovers. Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to maintain high standards. Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy and safety. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, mixing/batching, liquid blending, or similar industrial environment. Knowledge of COSHH, chemical handling, or hazardous materials (advantageous). Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Physically fit comfortable with manual handling and active production duties. FLT licence Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
