Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Biased Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Shift pattern (Contientals) Responsibilities: The main purpose of the role is to provide expert electrical support to ensure manufacturing operations, site facilities, and related services are maintained to a high standard of reliability, safety, and efficiency. Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance. Perform calibration, validation, and corrections on devices such as load cells and temperature controllers. Diagnose and repair electrical faults in production machinery and auxiliary equipment. Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and system performance. Maintain thorough and accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs via CMMS. Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems. Provide guidance, technical support, and training to apprentices and junior technicians. Support production operations by identifying and resolving electrical issues that affect output and efficiency. Partner with the on-site projects team to develop and enhance electrical control systems. Essential Skills & Experience Proficient in fault diagnosis using Siemens PLCs. Hands-on experience with AC/DC drives (primarily Siemens and ABB). Understanding of tension control systems and associated feedback mechanisms. Working knowledge of industrial bus networks (Profibus, Profinet). Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
