An excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record to run a successful property management department for one of London's leading independent estate agencies. Based in Docklands (E14), you will be responsible for a team of 5 Property Managers whilst also working closely with the Directors of the business to assist with the growth and quality of service within the portfolio. Key responsibilities: Team Leadership Overseeing & supervising a team of 5 Property Managers and an Administrator, providing them with support, training, and regular performance reviews. You will also assist with recruitment as-and-when required. Communication & Customer Service You will be required to maintain a high level of communication and customer service from within the department when dealing with tenants, landlords and contractors. Maintenance Ensure that response times and targets are achieved, whilst maintaining contractor standards and registration. Deposit Returns Monitor and improve the effectiveness of the team to cost, negotiate and agree deposit returns, reducing both the level of disputes and the average return times. Compliance, Certification and Warranties Work with the team to ensure all properties remain fully compliant with current legislation and all necessary health & safety requirements are adhered to. Landlord Licensing Identify, apply, process, and renew appropriate licences for any property within the portfolio that requires an additional HMO or Selective licence. Personal Portfolio Be responsible for a small portfolio of properties for a specific client group. The candidate: You should come from a professional property background including at minimum of 4 years within the property management space. You will have proven team leadership qualities and ideally will be ARLA qualified. You should also possess exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and strategically. A confident, calm, and positive attitude is required for you to motivate your team and provide positive leadership from the front. Other details: This is a permanent position based in Docklands (E14). The working hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday (1 in 6) working from the office. This position pays a basic salary of between £50k-£55k, along with a bonus of c.£5k (so the OTE for this role is £60-65k). 20 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and extended Christmas break (not deducted from your allowance). Ensure the Senior Property Manager is copied into all major issues / events. Attend client meetings to ensure excellent account management is maintained. Build strong professional relationships with Clients, contractors and third parties. Overall management of Client Accounts and any other duties as deemed necessary.Essential Requirements 2 years property management experience, ideally within luxury management. Highly motivated, dynamic and driven individual. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, in person and on the phone. IT literate - Word, Excel, Outlook. Strong organisational skills and administrative skills. Able to meet deadlines and targets. Attention to detail. Maintain confidentiality and discretion of Clients and projects.
