I'm looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join BAE Systems in Frimley, as part of the Dreadnought Integrated Combat Systems Design Team. What You'll Be Doing: Work under appropriate supervision and support to develop an understanding of customer and user needs, and how these influence and impact design activities. Assist in developing design solutions for complex technical problems throughout the product life-cycle, ensuring adherence to agreed time, cost, and quality targets. Support the development and management of Combat Systems requirements. Ensure design evidence is comprehensive, properly documented in requirements management tools, and endorsed by the appropriate authority. Understand contractual and performance requirements for Combat Systems, and assist in defining acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning phases. Provide technical support for integrated performance and acceptance activities, from supplier equipment acceptance to final system acceptance by the customer. Collaborate with various engineering teams to enhance your domain knowledge and subject matter expertise. Essential Skills: Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices within defence, maritime, or related industries such as aerospace or automotive. Understanding of the engineering life-cycle, with experience relevant to the role's phase and awareness of the entire life-cycle. Familiarity with relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations. Awareness of Product Safety and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) requirements. STEM degree or relevant educational background. The salary is 50,000 to 55,000 plus benefits and offers hybrid-working. You MUST be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) to be considered for this role.
