The role involves transporting, loading, unloading, and positioning steelwork, construction materials, plant, and equipment around the site while ensuring all lifting and vehicle movements are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with steel erectors, crane teams, logistics personnel, and site management to ensure materials are delivered safely and efficiently to maintain programme deadlines. Key Responsibilities Operate a CPCS-approved telescopic handler safely and efficiently. Transport structural steel sections, connection materials, and construction equipment around the site. Load and unload deliveries from lorries and delivery vehicles. Supply steel erectors with materials and equipment in designated work areas. Assist with logistics to ensure work fronts remain fully supplied. Move pallets, stillages, tools, and other construction materials as required. Carry out pre-start inspections and daily defect checks on the telehandler. Report defects, breakdowns, or damage immediately. Refuel and maintain the cleanliness of the machine. Work in accordance with lift plans and site traffic management arrangements. Follow the instructions of banksmen, slinger/signallers, and supervisors during lifting and movement operations.
