Client: Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in Kent. The business turns over 15M+ undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Their average project size is between 200K and 5M, with the majority of their projects being located in central London. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue chip clients, client include: ISG, Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. Having appointed a new Managing Director and with a forecasted 30M turnover for the year the business is looking to appoint an M&E Design Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and design management of various building services projects throughout London from the values of 500K - 5m MEP value. Typically the company operates in the following sectors: Commercial Offices, Retail Banking and Government projects. Role/Responsibilities: Design complete M&E projects Delivering design and information packages meeting project programmes Provide appropriate design solutions for specialist customer specific requirements Liaise directly with the project manager responsible for the project Attend meetings and represent the company without support Manage other designers and the CAD/REVIT/BIM team. The use of CAD/REVIT/BIM software Ensuring design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative requirements Performing engineering calculations, making reasonable assumptions to support design validity The ideal candidate: 3 years + experience as a M&E designer/engineer Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of electrical design services. They operate across sectors such as Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Leisure. Typically, their jobs will be worth anywhere from 5m to 30m M+E value. Their turnover after an impressive and game-changing few years is on track to go from 60m and increase to 80m, following the increase, they are looking to appoint an MEP Planner. The role will be based out their head office in London and they will offer some flexible working. Following a period of sustained growth within the healthcare, residential and commercial sectors my client is looking to expand their operations team by hiring a Document Controller. Operating nationally our client is a specialist mechanical and electrical contractor.They are responsible for delivering high quality design& build installations across a variety of sectors Document Controller: Due to the increased workload they have the necessity for a Document Controller to be based in their Kings Cross office. This role will have progression into a dual role also managing the office and supporting the two directors who lead the London Business from this office. The main role is for a strong document Controller however there is good opportunity for growth into an Office Management/Lead Document Controller role. This role will be office based with a early finish every Friday! There is also scope for hybrid working. Roles and Responsibilities: Recorded, distribution and updating documents and drawings using a controlled software such as Aconex, 4 Project and Delka. Checking dispatch documents are accurate. Update the revisions on drawings and as built drawings. Printing and scanning documents for supervisors and site manager. Ensuring all documented information relating to the project is going through to document management system. Downloading/uploading, production of workflow reports/schedules Managing booking delivery slots Scanning and management of weekly notes to head office. Assistance with QA documents. General Administrative Duties To label, log, store and process all sample approvals. Establish and maintain a request for information log. Undertake regular reviews of the system to ensure effective use across the project. At the end of the project, ensure that all project files are collated and correctly archived for easy and accurate retrieval. Creating weekly Health & Safety reports for all projects and issuing them to our clients and Divisional Managers Ideally for this role when applying they are looking for a Document Controller with M&E experience.
