Job Summary The ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal, located in Teesside at the mouth of the river Tees, is a crude oil reception, processing, storage, and trans-shipment installation. The terminal also fractionates natural gas liquids into ethane, propane, and butane. The terminal's success is built on its high performing workforce and can provide opportunities throughout your career to progress and continually develop. With ongoing production from Ekofisk and Eldfisk, other redeveloped fields and new exploration projects in the works, the future looks bright as we prepare for a lifetime to 2050. Reporting to the Procurement Team Leader and working within a small team of procurement professionals, you will provide supply chain management expertise and support/coordinate activities relating to contracted services. The ideal candidate will hold a degree level qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying or Engineering with demonstrable experience of working within the oil and gas, chemical, or other regulated industry along with Opex and Capex budget management. The position is offered on a fixed term staff contract - expected duration of two years. Position Overview Primary Role Objectives Supply Chain Management Support and drive Contract Management of key business contracts Maintain Contract Documentation that is in compliance with audit requirements and good business practices Support the development and implementation of Contract Management Plans and participation in Contract Review Meetings and Contract Steering Meetings Actively seek out new Service opportunities including negotiate and maintain Frame Agreements Help identify and support regional and global business initiatives and best practices Implement and maintain Company's E-procurement processes and tools. e.g. Smart and ePayables Develop for client review/approval: contract strategies, vendor selection, bid packages, commercial evaluation criteria and analyses, compensation structures and award recommendations Solicits commercial proposals and negotiates contractual terms and conditions Functions as a key liaison between Company clients, Contractors and Company's service groups to ensure development of corporately acceptable contracts Coordinate approval of Contract Strategy & Procurement Plan, Bidders List and Contract Awards by the Procurement Council / Partners where appropriate Manage/ Support the handling of any Claims Utilise procurement tools available to the group i.e. SAP, eSourcing, SmartGEP Drive improvement of P2P processes and KPI's e.g. ePayables Commercial Contract Management Develop commercial & strategic direction for Top 2/3 major term contracts Skills, Experience & Competencies Basic Requirements Degree level qualification (Construction, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or other relevant Business degree) Similar working experience in the oil & gas or other regulated industry Familiar with full Project life cycle activities including claims and project close out Experience of Opex and Capex budget management Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership skills and supervisory competence Ability to use Microsoft packages and Procurement ERP systems Good reporting, communication and workload management Preferred Requirements Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply qualification or equivalent Apply By: July 5, 2026 Sponsorship: ConocoPhillips' sponsorship for employment authorization in the country where this job is located is NOT available for this position.
