Quality Assistant - ITH Pharma ITH Pharma specialises in the provision of Parenteral Nutrition, Chemotherapy and CIVAS. Our team provides flexible services with batch and bespoke items for adults, paediatrics and neonates to both NHS and Private Hospitals. As a Quality Assistant you will work as part of a team reporting to a QA/QC Manager. Your work will include assisting with all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in relation to personnel, equipment and processes under the direction of supervisors in accordance with the quality assurance programme. Your main duties will include: Performing microbiological environmental monitoring of the aseptic suite. This includes cabinets, cleanrooms and support areas. Ensuring that the environment in which the products have been made conforms to the requirements of GMP by taking part in e.g. Enzyme indicator testing, plate reading and documentation, following up out of spec results, FMS monitoring, preparation of analytical standards and operation of the ICAP To ensure that all documentation associated with quality control activities is recorded each time and is clearly written. All documents must be appropriately stored (filed and archived) for easy retrieval. The Person - Skills and qualities required Applicants must have a science related Degree and ideally 12 months experience working in an aseptic or controlled environment. Experience in microbiological monitoring and use of analytical equipment is desirable. Reliability, flexibility and punctuality are a must as you will be working as part of a small team carrying out essential work on a daily basis. You must also be polite and diplomatic in your approach as you will be liaising with various internal departments. In addition, you will need good oral/telephone and written communication skills in English, be methodical in approach, able to demonstrate close attention to detail and concentrate for long periods of time. An appreciation of customer needs and experience of working as part of a busy team to tight deadlines without losing focus are also essential. Hours of work - Rolling shift Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.00pm & 10.00am - 6.30pm. There is also a requirement to work at least four contracted Saturdays during the year. Due to the line of work and patients awaiting treatments, there may be occasions when you may have to stay beyond the contracted finish time to complete your work for the day. As a Pharmaceutical Final Checker, you will be performing in-process checks and the final check of aseptically manufactured products. All aspects of these checks are to be in accordance with the company's quality assurance system. Your main duties would include : To final check aseptically dispensed products in accordance with defined procedures and approved methods; this will include an appreciation of the use of automated equipment used during manufacture. To perform in-process checks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). To ensure that all products are produced and stored according to appropriate documentation to maintain the right quality. To reconcile raw materials/ingredients of compounded products. The Person - Skills and Qualities Required Applicants must have strong numeracy skills. You must be logical and able to work systematically in a consistent way, ideally having demonstrated this ability in a fast-paced working environment. We also require at least a bachelor's degree ideally in a science-related subject. In addition, you will need good oral/telephone and written communication skills in English, be methodical in approach, able to demonstrate close attention to detail, and able to concentrate for long periods of time. The role: To assist the dispensing team with various duties to include answering phone calls, dealing with telephone and online queries, preparation for dispatch, assisting with packing of orders, liaising with clients and end users, as well as general pharmacy tidying and disposal of rubbish in accordance with pharmacy procedures. Duties will include: Handling inbound telephone calls from customers and patients, acting as the first point of contact. Responding to email and online enquiries in a timely and professional manner. Providing clear, accurate information on prescriptions, orders, delivery, queries, and general service questions. Maintaining a friendly, calm, and empathetic approach while delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
