Mechanical Building Services Project Manager Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire. Reports To: Contracts Director Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Mechanical Building Services Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to final handover. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and associated plant), excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and commercial performance. Key Responsibilities Contract & Project Management Oversee multiple mechanical building services projects simultaneously. Manage contracts from award through to final account agreement. Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, specification, and budget. Identify and manage project risks and opportunities. Lead project review meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management. Commercial Management Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, and final accounts. Work closely with Quantity Surveyors to maximise commercial performance. Negotiate subcontractor packages and manage supply chain performance. Ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting. Technical Oversight Review and approve technical submittals and design information. Ensure compliance with current building regulations, industry standards, and client specifications. Liaise with consultants, engineers, and site teams to resolve technical issues. Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover processes. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures. Promote a strong safety culture across all projects. Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements). Ensure all projects meet statutory and regulatory requirements. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Attend progress meetings and represent the company professionally. Identify opportunities for repeat business and new work streams. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within mechanical building services. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, heating systems, and mechanical plant. Demonstrated commercial awareness and contract management experience. Experience managing multiple projects (typically £500k-£6m+). Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Qualifications HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme). CSCS Card (Manager level). Full UK Driving Licence. Site Manager - Heating & Plumbing (Mechanical Building Services) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of heating and plumbing works on mechanical building services projects. The role involves managing site operations, coordinating labour and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services and proven site management experience. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities Coordinate and supervise direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure all heating and plumbing installations are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring RAMS are implemented and complied with Liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, and internal teams Manage site progress, attend site meetings, and provide regular reports Monitor quality control and ensure works are delivered to specification Identify and resolve technical and site issues efficiently Ensure materials, plant, and labour are planned and available Support commissioning, testing, and handover processes Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, inspections, and snagging lists Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor within heating, plumbing, or mechanical building services Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, and plumbing systems Experience working on commercial and/or High end residential projects Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing SMSTS or SSSTS (training can be provided) CSCS card (essential) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple work fronts and priorities Good IT skills (email, reporting, basic project systems) Desirable Qualifications NVQ Level 3 or above in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical Services First Aid at Work What We Offer Salary £48k to £55k DOE Company vehicle Stable workload and long-term career progression Supportive management team and well-organised projects

Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire Salary: £30k to £40k (dependent on experience) About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Special Projects Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career within project engineering, with clear progression into managing projects independently. You will support the Special Projects team in the coordination, delivery, and completion of projects, while gaining hands-on experience across tendering, project management, design input, and client liaison.
