The Role As an HGV / Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's fleet of trucks, trailers and specialist medical equipment to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include: Routine maintenance and repair of Volvo FH and DAF HGV vehicles Routine inspections and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers Maintenance and repair of mobile medical trailers Carrying out full annual inspections including hubs and brake strip-downs Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults Diagnostics and repair of trailer ABS / EBS systems Maintenance and repair of TRIDEC steering systems Maintenance and repair of hydraulic landing leg systems Diagnostics and repair of vehicle and trailer electrical systems Occasionally carrying out routine servicing and repairs to diesel generators Occasionally carrying out routine servicing and repairs to the company fleet of vans Occasional attendance at on-site maintenance and breakdowns at hospitals and medical facilities across the UK Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards Completing service documentation and reports in a timely manner The role is primarily workshop-based at our Upper Heyford depot, with occasional site visits when required.
