Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper & Payroll Assistant Location: London Salary: £50,000 (Full Time Equivalent) to be pro-rated for 2-3 days per week Our client is a privately owned family office with a portfolio of hotel and hospitality businesses. They are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper & Payroll Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function across the group. This is a hands-on role covering bookkeeping, payroll, invoice processing and month-end support, working closely with the wider business and external advisers. Key Responsibilities Process purchase and sales invoices across the group. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure transactions are correctly recorded. Manage supplier payments, reconciliations and general accounts payable duties. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with month-end processes, including preparation of monthly P&L information. Maintain the accounting records on Xero. Process payroll accurately and on time, including starters, leavers, deductions and payroll adjustments. Manage payroll-related administration, including pension contributions and statutory payments. Assist with VAT and other routine finance and compliance requirements. Liaise with hotel and hospitality operations teams regarding invoices, expenses and financial information. Support the family office with ad hoc finance and bookkeeping requirements. Candidate Requirements Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally within a multi-entity environment. Previous payroll experience is essential. Confident using Xero. Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations and month-end reporting. Comfortable preparing or assisting with monthly P&L information. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Experience within hotels, hospitality, family offices or owner-managed businesses would be advantageous. Comfortable working independently in a hands-on finance role. This is a part-time position working 2-3 days per week and would suit an experienced bookkeeper looking for a varied role within a privately owned hospitality group.
