Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served Supervise and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise efficiency and quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management Experience Proven experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques Supervising experience or team management skills are desirable but not essential; leadership qualities will be considered an asset Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within hospitality environments Familiarity with food production processes, culinary arts, and restaurant operations Experience in serving customers or front-of-house roles is beneficial but not mandatory; focus is on culinary expertise and kitchen management skills This position provides an engaging environment for passionate cooks eager to advance their careers within the hospitality industry.
