Role:- Test and Inspection Engineer Based:- St. Neots. Cambridgeshire PE19 Duration:- 12 months+ Rate:- 29.00 - 34.00 p/h PAYE Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in over 100 countries worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Inspection & Test Engineer to be based at their site in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. ROLE: To undertake the inspection of DCS, Network/Server Cabinets assembled on site to engineering drawings and bills of materials. Produce Inspection reports to highlight faults and corrective actions. (Quality Control) Staging and energisation of DCS cabinets for Project Teams Circuit/loop type testing and simulation tests Provide support during Factory Acceptance Tests as required Work as a member of the Inspection & Test team, helping to ensure projects are on time and on budget Maintain test equipment loan and calibration databases. MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES of the Test & Inspection Enginee Participate in the day to running of the Inspection Department Support the Project Engineering team throughout FAT ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced and competent to Inspect electrical equipment related to the engineering drawings (preferably DCS cabinets) Be computer literate, able to maintain spreadsheets. People Relations Advisor Location: Milton Keynes/remote Job Profile Summary Working alongside 2 field-based people relations advisors, you will be the primary contact for allocated regional and store management teams to provide Employee Relations advice, coaching and support. The role holder will lead in the management of long term sickness absence cases across the retail network (approximately 350 retail sites). This role is home based with regular travel to the Milton Keynes office and stores. There will be some element of travel (up to 25%). Key Accountabilities Manage all long-term absence cases making meaningful interventions to ensure all cases are dealt with fairly, consistent and in a timely manner. First point of contact for employee relations advice to assigned regional and store management, including employee relations, policy interpretation, analysis of risk and options for action. Providing cover for other regions when required. Manage all medium and high risk employee relations cases to resolution. This includes providing advice, drafting correspondence, attending meetings and note taking, and with the support of the People Relations Assistant, completing all associated administration. Deliver effective coaching and development on Employee Relations topics, attending Regional Meetings where appropriate, and developing and delivering ER workshops Build excellent relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of the people plan for the business. Deliver the people elements of any movement of stores into and out of the network, ensuring TUPE is managed effectively and legal requirements are met with regards to consultation and selection. Review, track and feed back themes from ER cases, Open talks and Careline complaints to develop and deliver appropriate interventions which have a positive impact on business performance and prevent the re-occurrence of issues Ensure the HR systems, case files and employee files are accurate, up to date and reflect advice given and action taken, and that all associated documentation and paperwork has been received Work with the People relations lead and others on projects, change initiatives and policy and process improvements. Maintain accurate records and systems which deliver compliance, such as for visa and employee eligibility requirements. Update policies, procedures and processes About you! Prior experience in a high volume ER or HR advisory role. Knowledge of current employment law and best practice HR knowledge. Ability to understand, interpret HR policies, processes and procedures and use these to advise line managers when dealing with complex ER cases. Clear, articulate and concise communication skills - both verbal and written. Good listening skills and questioning techniques. Experienced in delivering coaching, training and development interventions to raise management capability. Experience of working within a customer focused function within a large matrix, retail based, company. UK RTW REQUIRED Job Title: Laboratory Technician I Location: Fawley Contract Length: 12 Months Job Description: Support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in-process samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control. Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment. Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues. Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, as well as set preparation standards. Position will receive direction and support. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Polytechnic graduate with the background in Chemical/Process/Technical Engineering. Computer-literate. Preferable experience in quality control systems. Scope of Work The Environmental Technician carries out daily routine Environmental analysis of plant effluent streams and performs environmental analysis in response to Company incidents. Plant monitoring analysis includes metals by AA method, MBG testing and other titration analysis. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of contract extension. Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and process samples for the purpose of quality assurance and control.
