Key Responsibilities: Provide expert HR advice and guidance to clients on a range of employment law and HR matters, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice. Respond to client queries via phone, email, and other communication channels, delivering clear, concise, and practical solutions. Support clients with the creation and review of HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and advice provided, ensuring confidentiality and data protection at all times. Keep up to date with changes in UK employment law and HR best practices, proactively sharing knowledge with clients and colleagues. Collaborate with other internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience. Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience in an HR advisory or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment or a Graduate with a HR related degree. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and provide empathetic, solution-focused advice. CIPD qualification or working towards (desirable). Their digital platform replaces outdated manual processes, connecting advisers, creditors, and regulators in real time, and helping organisations deliver fairer, faster, more transparent outcomes for people in financial difficulty. The platform is already live and trusted by a growing list of local authorities, creditors, and government departments, including HMRC. With demand now increasing rapidly, we are building the senior team that will scale the business through its next phase of growth. Purpose of the Role The Commercial Director will lead all aspects of our client's growth strategy from driving new business and partnerships to strengthening existing relationships and building a scalable sales and commercial framework. This role suits a strategic and hands on commercial leader who can shape the commercial model, open doors, and turn opportunity into revenue. You'll work closely with the CEO to position our client as the leading digital infrastructure for debt and creditor engagement, with responsibility for driving recurring revenue and commercial expansion. This is also a key leadership position that will help prepare the business for investment and exit, with an opportunity for meaningful equity participation tied to performance. Key Responsibilities Business Growth and Partnerships Lead the commercial strategy to grow monthly recurring revenue across local authorities, creditors, and government clients. Identify, target, and secure new partnerships across priority sectors (local government, utilities, finance, and debt management). Develop commercial relationships with senior stakeholders and strategic partners. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline and report performance to the CEO and board. Sales and Account Development Oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, supported by existing networks and the CEO. Strengthen relationships with current clients to drive retention and expand service use. Build commercial frameworks for multi sector clients (government, creditor, utility, fintech). Develop case studies, ROI stories, and commercial materials that support growth. Commercial Strategy and Pricing Refine the subscription based pricing model and evaluate new commercial opportunities. Work with the CEO and Head of Operations to forecast revenue, model pricing scenarios, and align contracts. Prepare and present commercial reporting and forecasts to support investment discussions. Leadership and Team Building Build and lead the commercial team as the company scales. Introduce structure, accountability, and performance management across the sales and client engagement functions. Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and delivery. About You Experienced commercial or sales leader in B2B SaaS, fintech, or regulated sectors (public sector experience beneficial). A proven record of developing and closing strategic deals, ideally in multi stakeholder environments. Strong understanding of subscription and recurring revenue models. Comfortable engaging at senior levels within local authorities, creditors, and government departments. Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in fast paced, evolving businesses where strategy and execution sit side by side. Excellent communicator and relationship-builder, able to represent the business confidently in boardrooms and industry settings. Equity Opportunity This role includes eligibility for an equity stake of up to 2.5%, structured through a performance based employee share scheme.
