Key Responsibilities Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information. Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates, including labour, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure comprehensive project coverage. Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals within established deadlines. Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports to management. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator, with a strong understanding of roofing materials and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload. Valid UK driving licence. Preferred Qualifications Experience with both flat and pitched roofing projects. Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software. In this role you will work closely with the Procurement Manager and Senior Buyers in the Engineering Division, on this specific data centre project. This role is required for a fixed term period up to February 2027, in line with the duration of the project, however has the potential to go permanent depending on further work winning activities in the region.
