Purpose: As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of company assets. Travelling to various sites as requested, maintaining and repairing all plant equipment within our range, providing onsite service to customers. Attending breakdowns, carrying out scheduled services, capturing machine damage, completing and keeping accurate and comprehensive maintenance records at all times. Communicating effectively is a key part of the role ensuring the line manager and customers are kept informed as required. Responsibilities: • Routine maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery and vehicles. • Fault finding and repairs of vehicles, small tools and heavy plant. • Carry out scheduled service inspections and serving and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications. • Preparing equipment for regular inspections. • Identify equipment for disposal and highlight to management. • Ensure correct PPE is used at all times. • Accurate record keeping. • Ensure that breaches of Health and Safety are dealt with effectively and decisively and referred to the Health and Safety Advisor first and that the Contracts Manager and Managing Director are aware. • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external customers, contractors and suppliers ensuring current and future needs are translated into the site operations. • Ensure that quality assurance is maintained to company standards, including the general cleanliness/maintenance. • Any other relevant duties as requested.
