Summary Purpose We are seeking an experienced, strategic and commercially minded leader to join our Commercial team as Head of Subscription Revenue. You will own and accelerate the growth of Liv Ex's subscription business, optimising revenue streams, retention and customer engagement across the global fine wine market. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will work across teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives that drive measurable ARR growth. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end subscription business, owning ARR growth. From the new business pipeline through to onboarding, renewals, upsell, cross-sell and retention. Design and implement pricing, subscription packages and licensing models that meet the needs of different customer types, from enterprise clients to smaller businesses. Inspire and manage a high-performing commercial team Partner with Product and Data teams to influence the roadmap and ensure subscription offerings evolve in line with market needs and customer feedback. Take full ownership of revenue forecasting, performance metrics, and subscription analytics, delivering insights and recommendations to the executive team to drive ARR growth. Partner with Marketing to define and drive subscription growth strategies, ensuring campaigns and programs effectively optimise acquisition, adoption, and long term customer value. Build scalable operational frameworks, processes and tools to support subscription growth and lifecycle management. Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, shaping strategy with market insights and data driven recommendations. Foster a collaborative culture, ensuring all teams are aligned on delivering exceptional customer experiences and commercial outcomes. Proven track record of developing and executing value-based sales strategies to drive revenue growth and in managing full subscription ecosystems. Exceptional commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, contract negotiation and revenue forecasting Strong leadership experience, with a focus on mentoring and managing the Business Development, Account Management and Customer Success teams. Highly analytical, with excellent data literacy and the ability to translate insights into strategic and operational decisions. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence across functions and levels. Strategic, operationally capable and comfortable making decisions in a fast moving environment. Experience with subscription platforms and CRMs. Background in data, analytics, or licensing businesses. Familiarity with usage-based pricing models, revenue operations, or pricing experimentation. Experience in agile or product-driven organisations. Knowledge of the wine sector and/or a passion for wine. You will manage the customer lifecycle end-to-end-onboarding, adoption and renewal-while proactively identifying opportunities to grow ARR through upsells and cross-sells. Your role is critical in driving customer satisfaction, minimizing churn, and supporting sustainable revenue growth. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Lead onboarding, training and proactive engagement to ensure subscribers maximize value and actively use Liv-ex's platform and services. Monitor subscription health and usage data to identify churn risks, downgrades and upsell opportunities, collaborating closely with Account Managers to drive renewals and ARR growth. Deliver tailored education and best practice guidance while serving as the customer advocate internally, providing insights that inform product development and enhance service delivery. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Integrations and Account Management teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and alignment with evolving customer needs. Maintain accurate CRM records, usage reports and activity logs to support forecasting, reporting, and visibility across teams. Represent Liv-ex at customer forums, training sessions and industry events to strengthen relationships and promote data driven value. Required Knowledge and Qualifications 3+ years in customer success, client management or a related relationship focused role. Strong ability to deliver training, guidance and proactive support to clients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Organised, empathetic and detail oriented, with a focus on customer experience.
