JOB- Technical Author LOCATION- Sandy, Bedfordshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £30,000 - £50,000 per annum My client design and manufacture a range of special purpose machinery. They are looking to take on a Technical Author to join their team near Sandy on a permanent basis. The Technical Author will ideally have the following attributes: Be HND/HNC or Degree qualified in a technical subject such as Engineering, Science, Computing, Telecommunications or similar Excellent written and spoken English skills Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe FrameMaker or similar Knowledge of graphic design, digital photo editing, illustration or similar Technical writing capability and able to understand the process of product development Ability to carry out research and analyse complex, detailed information Ability to follow procedures and company guidelines to high standards Excellent attention to detail, ability to fault find and correct issues in documentation Excellent proof-reading skills Capability to communicate on an in-depth technical level High levels of accuracy A good understanding on manufacturing and design practises and their processes Excellent presentation skills Adherence to deadlines, methodical thinking The Technical Author role will involve: Produce clear and concise documentation to support a high-tech product range Research, analyse and understand technology and applications for the documentation that will be produced Communicating / collaborating with different departments like engineers and managers to solve technical queries Test and update written material with users Ensure technical information is organised, managed, and published as per time scales Direct and co-ordinate external providers Liaising effectively with sales and marketing colleagues to generate documentation for new product launches Produce and provide illustrations / photographs when required If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.For more information about this role please apply, or email Kingsley Farrington on who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.Many thanks, Premier Group
