Fisher Civils Limited are currently working on behalf of one of the regions fastest growing yet established Groundworks Subcontractors, We are actively recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor for their head office in Southampton They have a strong order book with secured future work and projects ranging from 500k to 30M across residential developments. Key responsibilities Managing the commercial aspects of groundworks projects Preparing and submitting valuations and cost reports Managing variations and change control Subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts Monitoring project costs and margins Working closely with site teams and project managers Assisting with tendering and pricing where required Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks Strong understanding of groundworks packages including drainage, foundations and external works Good knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts Confident managing subcontractor accounts and valuations Commercially aware and detail focused Able to work well within a team Office based in Southampton with site involvement as required.

You must hold a valid CPCS Blue Card for Telescopic Handler and have proven experience working on busy construction sites. Key duties include operating a 12 metre telehandler to safely move materials around site, supporting site logistics, and carrying out other associated duties as required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, confident operating plant in a fast paced environment, and able to work as part of a wider site team.
