Compliance Manager, Higher Education, permanent, London, onsite working, £44,000-£48,000 Leading Higher Education provider in the Arts and Performance World is recruiting for a Risk, Governance & Estates Compliance Manager. This role is an involved and key role coordinating and maintaining the organisation's approach to risk, governance, compliance, and estates-related health & safety, ensuring systems, processes, and records are robust, consistent, and effective. Working closely with the Heads of Operations and Estates, you will ensure policies are in place, compliance activity is well managed and there is a clear framework in place for assurance. You will also look for opportunities for best practice and continuous improvement. The main responsibilities of the Compliance Manager are: Maintain and oversee Health & Safety documentation, records, and systems Log, track, and monitor actions arising from H&S audits, Fire risk assessments, Incident investigations, Compliance inspections Maintain training records and oversee the H&S training matrix Support onboarding of new staff by coordinating H&S system access and training Track and maintain statutory inspection schedules and certification, including fire safety, water hygiene, LOLER, and PUWER Support the Estates function in maintaining accurate compliance and asset records Maintain fire safety documentation, evacuation records, and drill logs Monitor and track remedial works arising from inspections and risk assessments Maintain and improve compliance tracking systems and data accuracy Produce regular reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior stakeholders, including Board and Committees Ensure clear audit trails and documentation are in place to support inspections Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting Work collaboratively with departments to ensure compliance responsibilities are clear and manageable. Support the Group Operations Director with additional governance, risk, and compliance coordination requirements Draft and coordinate reports, briefings, and papers as required Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all activities Comply with GDPR, Health & Safety, and organisational policies Person specification and skills. You have: IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification as a minimum If you have NEBOSH qualification that would be an advantage Experience in Education, Arts or Performance related venues would be an advantage Experience in a governance, compliance, risk, or operational coordination role Understanding of Risk registers and governance processes, Health & Safety and statutory compliance, Audit and compliance tracking Experience managing documentation, systems, and reporting Experience working across teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders Strong organisational and coordination skills and excellent written and verbal communication Ability to track actions, manage deadlines, and escalate issues plus good analytical and problem-solving skills Confident working with data, reports, and systems and developing dashboards and reports Microsoft Office Highly organised and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Collaborative and approachable and calm under pressure If you have experience training in audit, risk management or compliance frameworks and a facilities or estates related qualification that would be an advantage. Health & Safety Services Project Co-ordinator, University Campus based in Kent, temporary, 3 days per week until the end of July 2026 with a possible extension, £17.60 per hour plus holiday pay, hybrid (minimum 1 day per week office based) Renowned University, requires a part time Health & Safety Services Project Co-ordinator.This role is 3 days per week until the end of July, hybrid working and you will be required to work in the office at least 1 day per week. They have a number of Health and Safety projects at the campus and you will be an organised team member keeping everyone on track. You will be a strong Administrator pulling together the action plan, KPIs and deadlines. Health and Safety experience is not essential for this role but it would suit you if you are a first class Administrator with a project focused approach.
