Mot Tester / Vehicle Technician We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using hand and power tools. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles, contributing to the overall quality of service provided by our garage. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with DVSA standards. Inspect and assess vehicle components,including brakes, lights, steering and suspension systems. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Maintain accurate records of inspections and any work carried out. Communicate findings of vehicle to the Workshop Manager clearly and professionally. Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the garage environment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required during vehicle inspections or repairs. Requirements: Valid MOT Tester certification is essential Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
