You will be working on a wide variety of land, measured building and utility surveys including commercial, residential, heritage and the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES The Topographical Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of land surveys and control networks across all departments. You will be using Trimble and Leica total stations and GNSS. You will contribute to maintaining a high level of health and safety and always conduct yourself in a professional manner. You will need to have an understanding and be able to follow company policies and procedures. Customer service will always need to be at the front of your mind. Communication is another key responsibility for this role. You will have to be able take instructions and clearly share information with others. This could be for working practices/management systems, Health and Safety, team communicating (both on site and back at the office) and liaising with clients. As such, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the role. You will need a flexible approach to working hours and be able to get yourself to our head office or any site location by 8:30am. Overtime, night and weekend work, may naturally form part of this role SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES 7+ years' experience undertaking topographical surveys Understand hazards and be capable of communicating and managing health & safety risks whilst on site Experience in processing total station observations CAD experience in producing topographical survey drawings Demonstrate skills in data management, mathematical solutions, and methodical survey data capture Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical decisions for projects assigned, within specified limits of authority Understand and work to detailed client specifications and standards such as RICS Measured Surveys of Land, Buildings and Utilities, 3 rd edition Have a full clean UK driving license CSCS card holder Punctual and able to manage your own time Would be beneficial to have knowledge of N4ce and creating new code lists QUALITIES Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude Excellent attention to detail and methodical work approach Super organised Good at juggling tasks and prioritising A great team player with awesome communication skills A desire to show initiative Ability to stay calm under pressure Willing to teach others and adapt to learn new skills WE'LL GIVE YOU Full training to use specific surveying equipment, technology, and software Structured career path and support working towards professional memberships for RICS and CICES if desired Highly competitive salary Annual profit bonus Your birthday off work Annual leave starts at 20 days plus bank holidays Company life insurance & pension above the age of 22 Great office location nr to motorway, a beautiful lake and not far from the shops.
