UKR Group is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to take ownership of, develop and grow a portfolio of key construction clients. This is a relationship and revenue-focused role for someone with proven construction recruitment experience who knows how to turn existing client relationships into long-term, profitable accounts. You will be responsible for growing existing accounts, increasing worker numbers, reactivating dormant clients, developing new relationships and ensuring clients receive an exceptional level of service. If you are commercially minded, highly organised and enjoy building strong relationships with construction clients while driving measurable account growth, we would love to hear from you. What you'll do Take ownership of a portfolio of existing construction clients and grow the number of workers, sites, divisions and vacancies supplied across them. Build strong, long-term relationships with contractors, developers, subcontractors and site teams, developing multiple contacts within each client to increase account penetration and reduce reliance on individuals. Identify and reactivate dormant or underperforming accounts. Generate warm new business through existing relationships, referrals, supply chains, group companies and site introductions. Understand each client's workforce requirements, operational pressures and future hiring needs, maintaining regular contact and proactively surfacing opportunities. Arrange and attend regular client meetings and site visits. Identify opportunities to increase revenue, margin and overall account value. Work closely with BDMs and recruitment consultants to ensure effective handover and delivery, and take ownership of service issues when challenges arise. Develop structured account plans for high-potential clients and prioritise time by account potential, revenue, margin and likelihood of growth. Maintain accurate CRM records, account plans and follow-ups, and monitor portfolio performance against agreed KPIs and revenue targets. What we're looking for Minimum of 3 years' experience in account management, recruitment or business development, with previous construction recruitment experience essential. Proven track record of managing, developing and growing construction client accounts, including increasing worker numbers, revenue and client spend. Strong understanding of the construction recruitment market and experience managing multiple client relationships across a sizeable portfolio. Proven ability to identify and develop additional opportunities within existing accounts and to reactivate dormant or underperforming clients. Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of revenue, margin and profitability. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, confident dealing with decision-makers, commercial teams and site-level contacts. Highly organised with excellent follow-through, comfortable using CRM systems to manage accounts, activity and pipeline. Resilient, self-motivated and target-driven, confident when dealing with service issues or challenging client relationships. Temporary blue-collar construction recruitment experience would be a strong advantage. What success looks like The successful Senior Account Manager will grow the value of their existing portfolio, increase active worker numbers across key accounts, and reactivate dormant clients while generating new opportunities. They will increase client penetration across sites, divisions and hiring managers, build relationships where clients come to UKR Group rather than competitors, and maintain strong retention and service levels. Over time they will improve revenue and margin across the portfolio, create a predictable pipeline of future account opportunities, and work effectively with BDMs and the delivery team to convert opportunities into placements. What we offer Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience Uncapped commission plus bonus scheme Company pension Private medical and dental insurance Flexitime and hybrid working options Genuine opportunity to build and own a high-value client portfolio Career progression within a growing construction recruitment business Strong earning potential based on account growth and performance If you are an experienced construction recruitment professional with a track record of growing accounts and building strong client relationships, we would love to hear from you.
