Our portfolio includes brands such as Ellesse, Nautica, Reebok, AVX Avirex Dept, Fenchruch, Peter Werth and more. We are looking for a driven and ambitious Apparel Designer to join our design team. This role is suited to a designer with solid experience who is ready to step up, someone with strong creative instinct, commercial awareness, and the ability to interpret and translate brand identity into relevant, authentic and commercially viable product. The Role: You will be responsible for designing apparel collections, working closely with the Head of Design and senior team to bring collections to life from concept through to final execution. This is a hands on role with real ownership, where you will take responsibility for key product areas, creating product that is not only commercially viable, but relevant, authentic and credible, with a clear sense of purpose and function within the wider range. You will contribute to building cohesive collections where product works together, balancing design integrity, functionality and commercial awareness, while applying a considered and mature approach to design decision making. What You ll Be Doing: • Design seasonal apparel product, ensuring alignment to brand identity, design direction and commercial requirements • Translate trend research, consumer insight and competitor analysis into brand-authentic, credible and commercially relevant product, with clear purpose within the range • Produce high-quality CADs and technical packs with clarity and accuracy for development teams and factories, integrating into PLM systems • Work closely with product developers through sampling, fittings and protos, ensuring product meets expectations across fit, quality, cost and function • Collaborate cross functionally with merchandising, sales and development teams to ensure alignment on price architecture, timelines and product strategy • Present design ideas internally and externally with clarity and confidence • Continuously build knowledge of fabrication, construction and market trends, applying this to both personal output and overall product quality To be successful in this role, you will have: • 4 6 years experience in apparel design within fashion or sportswear • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative ability and commercial awareness • Clear understanding of how to translate brand identity into product • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop beneficial) • Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics and manufacturing processes • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects • Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset • Ambition and drive, with a proactive approach to taking ownership and developing capability If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on APPLY today, forwarding an up to date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance. As part of Hela Brands International Product team, you will have a critical role in the Merchandising and stock control of the Marketplace team. The Junior Merchandiser ensures that we have the correct product assortment, in the right place, at the right time, and in the correct volume to achieve optimal sales performance. You will work closely with the buying and Marketplace teams to plan and build the ranges, taking control of stock levels to maximise profit. Without Merchandisers, there would be no stock to sell! What You ll Be Doing: • Responsible for the smooth-running day to day of the Marketplace Merchandising department • Working alongside the team, to get our products onto global platforms, such as Zalando, Amazon and ASOS. • Forecasting sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets by brand and marketplace. • Monitoring the department performance and identifying opportunities, as well as potential risk/loss. • Working closely with the Buying teams to successfully range plan for the department. • Participating in trade meetings with Heads of department and Directors. • Evaluating the running of the department, whilst focusing on lead times and general performance. • Managing the WSSI and supporting trade plans • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies To be successful in this role, you will have: • Proven experience as a Junior Merchandiser in a Fashion Retail business. • Experience of planning weekly sales, stock and intake management. • The confidence to manage and own a category, including participating in weekly trade meetings. • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Experience of managing and developing team members (desirable) • Strong computer skills, in particular, Microsoft Excel to an advanced level. • Knowledge of reporting tools is desirable • A passion and interest in online retail. • Previous experience working with integrators and facilitators such as Shopify, Rithum or Mirakl would be advantageous.
