Nursery Chef SE6, London Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:30pm About the Opportunity Join a warm, fast-paced early years setting where your cooking truly makes a difference Take ownership of a busy kitchen serving fresh, nutritious meals daily Be part of a supportive team that values quality, care, and consistency What You ll Be Doing Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced meals for around children and staff Delivering meals on time, following structured menus with care and creativity Adapting dishes to meet allergies, dietary needs, and cultural preferences Working closely with a kitchen assistant to keep daily operations running smoothly Taking full responsibility for a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen and dining space Keeping all equipment, utensils, and storage areas spotless and in order Monitoring kitchen supplies, reducing waste, and ensuring stock is always maintained Upholding high food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times Maintaining accurate records for cleaning, food safety, and temperature checks Communicating clearly with team members and management to support a positive environment What We re Looking For Experience cooking for large groups in a Nursery or School kitchen Confidence managing a kitchen independently and leading daily operations Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices Excellent organisation and attention to detail Reliable, proactive, and able to work well within a team Good level of spoken and written English Why Apply?
