Our client is looking for 7.5 T delivery drivers for distributing food (supplying shops and restaurants from basic ingredients such as bags of potatoes to fine foods) based a few miles South of Bristol. This is a temp to perm opportunity that requires between 20 to 30 drops per day. Goods are not palletised and work will involve handball with a sack truck. Vans are pre-loaded by warehouse staff so no need to load in the morning. For the right driver a contract will be offered after 12 weeks. Starts between 3 to 6 am working 5 days a week on a rota basis - one week Mon till Friday or Tue till Saturday. Following week involves a rolling day of holiday middle of the week. Usually you are done within 8 hours per day or under - minimum payment of 8 hours guaranteed. To begin with you are on training for 5 days with another driver during which there would be a driving assessment at some point. Delivery destinations include Taunton, Bridgwater, Bristol and Bath areas. Paying 15.06 per hour. When permanent an overtime rate is available if you go over 160 hours over 4 weeks time - this would be time and a half of basic rate. Our ideal driver will: - Have full UK licence C1 category with no more than 3 points - Have full CPC and Tacho - Have at least 1 year 7.5T driving experience (but less might be considered) - Have a positive attitude and be capable of manual handling when necessary M4 Recruitment are an employment business and operates as an equal opportunities employer.
