Our well established client in the food production sector are seeking Kitchen Operatives for their factory in Rainham, Essex. You will be required to work in a Factory environment dealing with food where there will be manual handling, cleaning, washing up, prepping veg and pouring sauces whilst adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations. You will be required to complete a short course on Health, Hygiene and Allergen level 2 and chemical training. This role will involve dayshifts starting at 10.00am to 7.30pm and the shift pattern will be from Sunday to Tuesday and Wednesday to Saturday with overtime in busy periods so weekend working is a must including Sundays This is a temporary position, however there may be an opportunity for a permanent position after a qualifying period, subject to attendance, timekeeping and performance. You will be responsible for carrying out quality control checks and testing to ensure raw materials, in-process products and finished goods meet the required standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality checks and testing on raw materials, components and finished products. Carry out in-process quality control checks in line with procedures and specifications. Collect, log and store QC retention samples. Calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs. Review batch records and verify test results. Maintain GMP standards, health and safety procedures and a clean working environment. Essential Skills and Experience Previous experience in a quality control environment. You will be responsible for processing castings while maintaining high standards Key Responsibilities include: Production Duties Process castings within the machining department, including: CNC Turning CNC Milling Manual Turning Manual Milling Drilling operations Process parts in accordance with engineering drawings, techniques, and work instructions. Inspect machined parts to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct first-off checks on other operators' work. Carry out manual handling duties.
