About The Role EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market-leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe's latest high-speed rail projects. We are seeking to recruit a Section Engineer to join our team based in Wendover, Buckinghamshire. The Section Engineer manages junior engineers and assists the Sub Agent in construction operations. You will report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to closeout. Assisting with temporary works design schemes, you will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme, and budget. You will be responsible for managing the site setting-out team, overseeing the performance and development of the Site Engineers, and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors to ensure their works meet contractual requirements is also key. You will ensure the team has all current information and resources needed to perform their duties. Additionally, you will assist with producing programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting. About You Key Skills and Qualifications: HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or related field, with ongoing institute membership (ICE). Practical knowledge of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision. Experience in utilities, structures, or drainage is essential. Own transport and a full driving license are required to attend remote sites. Must hold the following competencies: SMSTS or SSSTS; CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red (Experienced), Black (Manager), or Gold (Supervisor).
