Keystone Healthcare are currently recruiting 8 experienced Support Workers to join an Integrated Day Services team within a Local Authority setting in West Yorkshire. This role involves supporting adults who have assessed care and support needs, including individuals with learning disabilities and older adults with complex needs such as autism, dementia, distressed behaviours, and a range of complex health conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals who are passionate about supporting people to live meaningful and independent lives within a supportive day service environment. Key Responsibilities Support adults with complex learning disabilities and older adults in a day service setting Assist individuals to participate in social, recreational, and structured activities Promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain safe working practices Support with mobility and moving & handling where required Maintain accurate records using basic IT systems Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to support individual care needs Essential Requirements Recent care experience within the last 12 months supporting adults with complex needs Experience within the adult care sector (e.g. residential care, supported living, homecare or day services) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required for immediate start) Moving and Handling training Minimum of 6 months UK Care experience Good understanding of safeguarding procedures Good communication and teamwork skills Basic IT / record-keeping skills Right to work in the UK Important Requirements Candidates must be available to start as soon as possible Must be willing to complete any required training before or shortly after starting Must be able to provide 5 years of employment references quickly to support a fast onboarding process Desirable NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care Person Specification Flexible and willing to work across service locations if required Able to work independently and as part of a team Positive, caring and patient approach Friendly, outgoing and enjoys supporting activities with service users Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling requirements Additional Information Start date: ASAP 5 days per week (some flexibility may be considered) Contract length: 6 months initially (subject to review and possible extension) If you are an experienced Support Worker available for an immediate start and looking for a rewarding role within a Local Authority service, please apply now.
