A leading automotive component manufacturer in Witham is growing their team and looking for enthusiastic individuals to train as Carbon Laminators. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive environment, producing parts for top-tier motorsport clients. This role is paying 12.71ph, working 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Overtime is also available. What you'll be doing: Assisting in the production of high-performance vehicle components Preparing patterns and laying up carbon fibre materials Verifying and handling material kits Applying sealants and release agents Hand-laying pre-preg carbon fibre to specification (Don't worry - full training is provided!) We are working with an automotive component manufacturer based in Witham who are looking for a CNC Setter Operator to join their night shift. We are looking for people who can set and operate CNC Milling machines and be happy to work the night shift. Pay is up to 17ph + a 33% shift allowance. The night shift hours are 9.30pm to 7.30am Monday to Thursday. This is a 38 hour week. CNC Setter Operator duties:- Set and operate 3 and 5 axis machines Cutting and preparing materials Work with aluminium, steel, plastics, epoxy tool boards and carbon fibre Deburring and manueally finishing parts where required For this role you must possess a good understanding of HAAS or Fanuc controls, be able to set tools, work offsets and adjust tool offsets when required. We are looking for a CAD/CAM Programmer, to report to the Machine Shop Supervisor. You will be responsible for programming 3 and 5-axis CNC machines using HyperMill to deliver a range of components and tooling. The machine shop and its team play a key role in the manufacturing operation and contribute greatly to the solutions we deliver to our clients. We are looking for someone with CAD / CAM programming experience. We would be open to hearing from people with experience using Hypermill, PowerMILL, MasterCAM, Fusion 360 or EdgeCAM. Training courses can be provided for the right person to help with the transition to Hypermill. The role is working 8am till 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. The company are paying up to 28ph if you have used Hypermill before. Duties for CAD/CAM Programmer role:- Be responsible for programming 3-axis Vertical Machining Centres (VMC's) with the option to bolt on a 4th axis or 4th and 5th axis rotary table. Responsible for programming 5-axis Universal Machining Centres (UMC's). Be responsible for the programming of 3 and 5-axis machines to run low-volume production jobs. Responsible for the programming of 3 and 5-axis machines to run one-off prototype parts for both in-house and custom customer requirements. Work with a variety of materials including aluminium, steel, plastics, epoxy tool boards and carbon fibre. Use their CAD skills to draw suitable fixtures for one-off solutions and/or production runs. Work closely with the shop floor team to assist in changes required to help streamline the machining process. Be responsible for assisting in-house design team with feedback on the machining feasibility of complex components and tooling. Assist in-house training program by training apprentices and other team members where required. This is a permanent position subject to passing a 13-week probation period.
