Responsibilities Performing accounting close procedures for Tower EMEA entities, including month end adjusting entries and analytics Performing daily monitoring and analysis of trading P&L results across global trading entities. Assisting in cash management and monitoring treasury FX risk Posting cash journals in the accounting system (Oracle) as required Collaborating with Tower Operations to understand and resolve breaks across global cash and NAV reconciliations Collaborating with Tower Finance Technology and Post Trade Technology to implement process improvements Assessing internal finance processes, identifying areas for improvement and articulating proposed improvements to management Assisting in preparation of annual financial statements and coordinating with external auditors Assisting in ad hoc and special projects Qualifications/Experience A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field At least 3 years of accounting/auditing experience with a mix of public, hedge fund, and financial services accounting preferred ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent certification Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (nested functions) Ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Understanding of exchange traded products and global market structure (preferred) Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and Tableau software (preferred) Familiarity with transaction based fee and rebate programs (preferred) Benefits Tower's headquarters are in the historic Equitable Building, right in the heart of NYC's Financial District and our impact is global, with over a dozen offices around the world. Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Business Analyst to join our Operations Team. The team is part of Tower's Middle and Back Office (MBO) function which is a key part of Tower's business ensuring the completeness and accuracy of Tower's books and records and meeting the demands of a growing and complex trading business. Key Responsibilities Provide data analysis and support for operations to improve the processing of financial transactions such as trades, corporate actions, taxes, commissions/fees, and all other balance sheet impacting transactions. Partner with developers, Project Management, Finance, Operations, and other external custodians and vendor teams to drive solutions. Gather requirements and documentation to analyze and build long-term operational enhancement plans related to, but not limited to, settlements, corporate actions, break handling, UI enhancements, new asset class implementation, reference data, and metric reporting. Participate in large and small scale projects, being a proactive contributor with the skills to resolve conflicts between teams around deliverables and meet deadlines. Participate in UAT and release coordination for internal and vendor systems. Act as a Business Analyst and liaison for Operations in all regions. Prioritize features and enhancements based on operations feedback and resource constraints. Identify areas of improvement, scope requirements, and assist in the implementation of automation ideas. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products and features, to drive for continuous growth. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have: A Bachelor's or Master's degree. At least 4 years of experience working as a business analyst or product manager with exposure to Financial Services Operations or Post Trade processes, including strong working knowledge across asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, and Crypto. Strong experience with spreadsheet software such as Excel or Sheets. Some proficiency with Python and SQL is a plus but not required. Experience with Task Management software such as JIRA is a plus.
