Locum Senior Legal Officer (Childcare) - Local Authority - South Wales - Fully Remote - £50 /hr via Umbrella - Full Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Senior Legal Officer to join the Childcare team of a Local Authority in South Wales on a full-time, 3 month initial basis. The ideal candidate for this role would be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive; however the opportunity is available for non qualified (but thoroughly experienced) locums as well. For this opportunity, you will need experience handling a caseload of childcare matters with previous Local Authority experience being essential. Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload and preparing legal advice and guidance relevant to Childcare matters Drafting documentation such as Letters of Instruction, court orders, and position statements to ensure case progression Dealing with enquires for legal advice efficiently to make sure that necessary assistance is provided Preparing cases and interviewing witnesses Providing support to the internal team and undertaking additional duties where required. A rate of up to £50 per hour via umbrella is offered for this position as well as the opportunity to work fully remote.
