This is an exciting opportunity to join Persimmon as a Group Accountant. You will provide an effective financial support function to the Executive Board and their decision making and evaluation process, whilst ensuring all Group internal and external reporting responsibilities are achieved. What you'll do as a Group Accountant Ownership of reviewing weekly and monthly KPIs used by senior management and the executive board Take the lead in the preparation of group consolidated management accounts, forecast models and budgets. Ensure controls are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures Play a key role in the year-end and half-year reporting processes Support the preparation and delivery of the Group's statutory accounts and external reporting outputs Work alongside the Senior Group Accountant to fulfil the Group's external reporting requirements Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, ensuring efficient delivery of audit requirements Provide insightful financial analysis and challenge to support strategic decision-making Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls and team performance Act as a mentor to junior team members enabling them to become qualified accountants What experience do I need? Have a recognised accountancy qualification (preferably ACA) Experience within finance (industry or practice) Strong technical accounting knowledge (both IFRS and UK GAAP) with an emphasis on consolidation accounting Strong communication skills (liaising with senior leadership is a regular part of the role) Computer literate, strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills essential An ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities from a range of stakeholders Desirable skills and experience include: Experience in the housebuilding or construction industry Use of the COINS operating system Experience improving finance processes or systems JBRP1_UKTJ

We are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join our Team. The Buyer will report to the manager of the Commercial team and will be responsible for the sourcing and ordering of various materials, achieving best possible value, and ensuring group deals are adhered to. What you'll do as a Buyer Material scheduling for multiple live and upcoming developments at any one time. Calculating bulk quantities of bricks, blocks and tiles required for each site and scheduling them with the manufacturer in a timely manner. Maintaining and monitoring regional bulk material levels to ensure there are no shortfalls or over ordering. Submitting material cost budgets to department surveyors and advising where large losses or stolen product has occurred. Finally you will need to work very closely alongside Site and Contract Managers to ensure requisitions are processed efficiently and site issues are overcome swiftly. What experience do I need? A confident and numerate professional who has previous Buyer experience within a construction company and can provide take offs from drawings Be self-motivated, asks questions, wants to learn and has a good work ethic Must be adaptable, have a strong and consistent management style with the site teams and supply chain Must be proficient in Excel Confident negotiation skills Previous COINS experience is a distinct advantage Full Driving licence is essential JBRP1_UKTJ

The role will work within the Land/HA sector of the Legal Team working for various divisional offices across the Group. What you'll do as a In-House Solicitor Developing relationships between the regional offices and you will be required to travel between our regional offices from time to time The work to be undertaken will be predominantly property focussed, specialising in affordable housing and investor sales but also advising on general land matters, assisting with disposal matters and include some planning and infrastructure work What experience do I need? You must be a solicitor or a fully qualified legal executive Experience in the following areas would be beneficial: affordable housing sales, section 106 agreements, infrastructure agreements, undertaking property due diligence and reporting on title.
