The Role This is a proactive, relationship-led business development role focused on long-term collaboration with luxury residential interior designers and design studios. You will be responsible for generating new leads, nurturing designer relationships and driving projects from concept through to order completion. The Studio Design Director is a senior, hands-on creative role responsible for leading the design and development of wallpaper and fabric collections from concept through to production. Working closely with the Creative Director, the role combines creative vision with strong technical expertise in pattern design, colour, scale, repeats, substrates and digital printing. The position involves creating original designs, developing freelance contributions, overseeing the studio design process, and ensuring all work remains true to the brand s distinctive aesthetic and heritage. The role also includes supporting and guiding the design team, particularly the Design Development Manager, while helping shape the future structure and growth of the studio. As the company enters a period of evolution and growth, the successful candidate will need to balance innovation with sensitivity to the brand s history, values and identity. They should be an experienced senior designer with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation, technical confidence, and a collaborative, thoughtful approach to working across teams and with external partners. The ideal person will have a genuine passion for pattern, materials, and craftsmanship, alongside the ability to combine creativity with practical problem-solving and calm, considered leadership.

This family run business has established a solid and long-standing history within the independent kitchen marketplace over many years and due to natural growth and strong referrals they are seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer for their Solihull Showroom. They sell both high-end German kitchens and British In-frame kitchens and you will be handling their client s design visions from initial contact through to completion. You will be working with a team of administrators for the ordering and scheduling, project managers and installers along with your fellow designers based among their various showrooms. Skills and Experience sought from the Kitchen Designer: Strong design and sales background within the independent kitchen marketplace Able to work to deadlines and targets A natural flair for design, presentation and customer service Good IT skills and CAD literate (they use Compusoft Winner and EQ) Full driving licence essential On offer is a basic salary of c£40k plus pension, laptop, mobile phone, travel expenses and an excellent commission structure. OTE: £75k to £80k. The role will be Monday to Saturday with a day off in lieu.

Their studio and workshops are based just south of Bristol and the role can be hybrid. Key Responsibilities are to: Build rich and meaningful design narratives informed by architecture, materials, nature, art and culture Develop layouts and well-proportioned, functional spaces Develop detailed furniture and joinery concepts, including moulding strategies Resolve designs so they sit harmoniously within the architectural context Oversee specialist elements including metalwork, upholstery, ceramics, glass, and decorative features Maintain design integrity throughout technical development and production stages Skills & Experience for the Senior Interior Designer: Minimum 5 years experience in high-end residential interiors Experience working with heritage or listed buildings is highly desirable A collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary teams Strong conceptual thinking with a clear and considered design approach High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp What s on Offer : Salary is negotiable based around the individual s skills and experience which can be openly discussed with the recruiter prior to proceeding Pension scheme Cycle to Work scheme and free parking Regular staff socials 24 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service) Hybrid working
