We are currently looking to appoint a Nursery Practitioner who will act as a key person to a group of children within the Nursery and will assist the Nursery team to establish and maintain the social, intellectual, physical and emotional wellbeing of the children. The successful candidate will assist with providing appropriate, fun and stimulating experiences to encourage independence and child-initiated learning to take place. This role will be based at Ripley Court School and the role-holder will be required to work between 7.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. The role-holder will also be required to cover some break, lunch and after school duties during the week (for which there is a rota and reasonable notice is given) and assist with supervising Breakfast Club. The successful candidate will hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification and have previous experience of working with pre-school children (age 2 to 5 years) in an EYFS setting. Other responsibilities will include: Understanding the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations undertaken in the kitchen is to the highest standards of hygiene. Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
