Role Overview The Financial Controller will be the senior finance lead for the group, responsible for ensuring robust financial management, accurate reporting, and effective financial controls across all entities. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of autonomy, sound commercial judgement, and the confidence to operate as a trusted adviser to the business owner and senior leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting informed decision-making, introducing appropriate structure, and improving the quality and consistency of financial information. The role manages a small in-house finance function and works closely with external advisers. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across the group, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely processing. Prepare and present monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting. Manage cash flow forecasting and support budgeting and financial planning. Provide clear financial analysis and commercial insight to support decision-making. Contribute to senior leadership and board-level discussions, presenting financial information with confidence. Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting standards. Liaise with external accountants and advisers, ensuring all statutory obligations are met. Line-manage and mentor a junior finance team member. Skills & Experience Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to challenge constructively. Experience producing management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and board-level reporting. Comfortable working autonomously and managing priorities. Good systems knowledge (Xero experience beneficial). Additional Information £50k to £60k Salary Private Medical Insurance Discretionary Bonus

This role will focus in two main areas, compliance and continuous improvement. The new quality engineer will play a key role in ensuring the business is ready for important certifications. Maintain and improve the Quality management system (QMS), conduct thorough and effective internal audits. Continuous improvement in this role will about the candidates ability to effect change and bring their colleagues along on that journey. Working with the shop floor and different areas of the business in order to implement robust corrective actions. Most of all, the successful Quality engineer will be working alongside the SHEQ Manager in championing customer standards.
