Rail Survey Systems Technician Field Systems Engineer Technical Survey Equipment Specialist The Opportunity Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Rail Survey Systems Technician to join a highly skilled technical team supporting innovative survey and data capture systems used across large-scale infrastructure environments. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, combining workshop preparation, field deployment, and international travel, while playing a critical part in ensuring complex systems perform at their best. You will become the vital link between field teams and technical operations, working with advanced equipment and contributing to projects that deliver meaningful, real-world insights. Either way, you will have the chance to develop your skills in: Electronic and mechanical systems Survey or sensor-based technologies Data acquisition and system integration Troubleshooting in real-world environments Working across workshop, office, and field settings You will also enjoy working in varied conditions, from controlled environments to remote or operational sites, and be comfortable travelling when needed. Your Experience (Wishlist) We are keen to hear from candidates who bring a mix of the following: Experience with technical equipment, instrumentation, or electronic systems Exposure to installation, field service, or system deployment Confidence in fault-finding and diagnostics Familiarity with data systems, sensors, or communications protocols A background in engineering, electronics, or a related discipline Most importantly, you are curious, practical, and motivated to learn.
