This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong rent account management, debt recovery, and tenancy sustainment experience. This role will require on-site working two days per week , with the remainder remote. Role Overview As part of a proactive housing income team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of rent accounting , service charge monitoring , and debt recovery , including both current and former tenant arrears. You'll provide front-line support to tenants, helping them sustain their tenancies wherever possible, while also taking firm action in line with policy where payment is wilfully withheld. Key Responsibilities Monitor rent accounts to maximise income and minimise arrears Contact tenants by phone, text, email and written correspondence regarding rent payments and repayment plans Provide practical advice and support to tenants facing financial difficulties Escalate cases in line with policy, including service of legal notices such as Notice of Seeking Possession and Notice to Quit Prepare cases for court proceedings and attend court hearings and evictions as required Manage former tenant arrears, including making recommendations for write-offs or recovery actions in line with financial procedures Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and attend relevant meetings and panels Requirements Demonstrable experience in rent income collection , arrears recovery , and tenancy management A confident communicator, able to manage sensitive conversations and negotiate payment plans Strong knowledge of housing law and legal processes around possession and eviction Organised, detail-focused, and confident managing caseloads independently Able to attend site in Harlow two days per week

This role is offered outside IR35 and pays 300 per day (umbrella) . Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will be providing expert advice on drainage and flood risk matters, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including internal departments, elected members, developers, and members of the public.
