Job Purpose: This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of our customer projects, from inception to completion and handover, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning : develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Team Leadership : lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration among engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders. Budget Management : prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses with the operations department, and ensuring financial objectives are met. Scheduling : create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases and milestones. Quality Assurance : implement quality control processes to ensue all deliverables meet industry standards and customer expectations. Regulatory Compliance : ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, along with safety standards. Risk Management : identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may arise. Stakeholder Management : serve as the primary point of contact for customers, internal and external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, providing regular updates on project progress. Customer Service : act as an ambassador for Switch On Power when interacting with external and internal stakeholders, providing excellent customer service. Problem Solving : address and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines. Documentation : maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence, for reference and compliance. Post-Project Evaluation : conduct evaluations of project outcomes, assessing successes and areas for improvement for future projects. Other Activities : provide onsite support when required, directed by the Head of Programmes, Commissioning Engineer or Senior Leadership. Education ONC/OND or Graduate in Project Management, Building, Engineering or Architecture Professional Qualification in Engineering, Construction or Project Management A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is usually required. Experience Proven successful experience overseeing the delivery of electrical infrastructure (ICP/HV/LV) work from inception to completion. Thorough understanding of the DNO/ICP delivery process with good knowledge and experience managing project lifecycles ( can we state cost size/length of time for project) Competent in Project Management Software Technical Skills Knowledge of HV/LV Knowledge of engineering construction aspects of delivering Working knowledge of contracts NEC3 and/or ICP Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and relevant project management software. Project Management Qualification e.g. Prince 2 Other Qualifications A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months Good oral and written English proficiency Safety training to ISOH or NEBOSH for managers SMSTS

Job Purpose : To carry out the installation, jointing, testing, and maintenance of underground and overhead power cables (typically LV and HV up to 132kV), ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. Key Responsibilities: Carry out installation and jointing of LV and HV underground cables, including straight joints, terminations, and pot ends. Interpret technical drawings, site plans, and utility records with accuracy to support site delivery. Conduct on-site cable testing and fault location using certified methods and equipment Teamwork & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate effectively with supervisors, site leads, and adjacent trades to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Provide technical guidance to apprentices and support their on-the-job learning. Performance & Record-Keeping Deliver tasks within agreed timeframes and to required quality standards, minimising delays and rework. Maintain jointing logs, test records, and as-built documentation to a high standard for QA and audit purposes. Contribute to efficiency improvements by identifying potential process or material enhancements. Tools, Materials & Plant Management Ensure correct and secure handling of joint kits, cable drums, and temporary protection systems. Maintain housekeeping and storage areas in accordance with site logistics and environmental standards. Customer Service: Act as an ambassador for Switch On Power when interacting with external and internal customers, providing excellent customer service Other Activities: Carry out any other similar task assigned by the Site Manager, Project Manager or Head of Programmes and be willing to help the team with any task at hand Education NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Power Engineering (or equivalent) Experience Authorised for LV/HV jointing under relevant DNO/IDNO schemes Proven experience in jointing on utility networks (LV/HV) Technical Skills Strong understanding of electrical safety and cable systems Proficient in LV and HV jointing methods, including straight joints, branch joints, terminations, and pot ends. Skilled in using test equipment (e.g. TDR) to verify insulation resistance, continuity, and locate faults. Ability to interpret site plans, cable route maps, and DNO/IDNO specifications accurately. This role is responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment on site, ensuring safe and efficient completion of various tasks including excavation and lifting. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment to carry out construction tasks. Pre Operation Checks: Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure proper functioning, including fluid levels, brakes, and safety features. Site Preparation: Prepare the construction site by clearing and grading land, digging trenches, and moving materials as directed by Site Manager. Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials using machinery, ensuring they are moved to designated areas correctly and safely. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, participating in safety meetings and training as required. Collaboration: Work closely with Site Manager, On Site team and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. Problem Solving: Identify and report any machinery malfunctions or issues to the Site Manager, assisting in troubleshooting and repairs when needed. Be able to give solutions to issues that arise in your line of work. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machinery performance, maintenance tasks, risk assessments and any incidents that occur on-site. Environmental Awareness: Have awareness of and comply with environmental regulations and practices while operating machinery, minimising impact on surrounding areas. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new equipment, technologies, and best practices in machine operation and safety protocols.
