Key Responsibilities: Support the production and assembly of low-volume, high-quality vehicles across all models at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Collaborate with team members, especially within Manufacturing Engineering, to meet production targets and ensure product quality. Operate machinery on a low-volume production line, loading/unloading and assembling parts while ensuring correct allocation to Stillages. Conduct quality checks for any defects and ensure accurate labelling of finished products. Accurately record data into the build book/log, including torque and serial number details. Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, identifying process improvements and corrective measures to enhance efficiency. Participate in problem-solving activities and support Cycle Time change planning, line rebalancing, trials, and training initiatives. Assist in new model activities and continuously work to improve the manufacturing process alongside engineering teams. Uphold shop safety initiatives and ensure timely resolution of any issues. Maintain the production standard of general housekeeping duties as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise: Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle repair or HND in Automotive or associated Engineering subject. 3+ years of experience in an automotive dealership or motorsport environment, ideally with an OEM or a similar low-volume manufacturing environment. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in automotive mechanics, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Understanding of various assembly processes and equipment used in automotive manufacturing. Proven ability to read and understand Engineering drawings. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A team player who can thrive under pressure and contribute to meeting strict production targets. Possess a full UK driving license. Main Purpose of Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager This role will see the successful candidate take ownership of cybersecurity project management within the connected vehicle domain. You will develop a deep working knowledge of connected car features and ensure cybersecurity compliance across multiple projects and stakeholders. Responsibilities of Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager Lead the coordination and schedule alignment with all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with UN-R155 regulations. Main Purpose of Mechanical Systems Engineer Produce 3D CAD schemes and from them produce 2D CAD drawings to relevant ISO standards. Develop Systems to integrate mechanical systems into vehicle electrical architecture via CANBUS control. ASL Technical are looking for Junior Software Engineers to work for an automotive manufacturer of specialist vehicles. Do you have a degree in software or an engineering discipline with a passion for software and the automotive industry? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, we are keen to hear from you. Overall Purpose of the Position Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, this position will work on all areas affecting software control of their vehicles. The successful candidate will be given full support to develop into the role which will have exposure to all matters involved in the software design and development to operate the functions of these vehicles, specifically the embedded control software and associated HMI. In position, you will be developed to ensure that all control software is fully tested and approved, meeting relevant standards using a defined release process, and that software release schedules are clearly defined internally and externally to engineering for introduction to future and existing vehicles. The successful Software Engineer will collaborate with the mechatronics engineering teams to develop control software and systems models for the operation of the vehicle. Main Duties Develop and understanding of the control software and HMI (Human Machine Interface) graphical software. Participate in the creation of a software engineering design. To liaise regularly and effectively with other members of the engineering team to ensure a cohesive overall design. Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issues so as to create a healthy and safe working environment.
