Motorsport / Automotive Vehicle Technicians ASL Technical are proud to partner with a renowned UK-based luxury automotive brand who are seeking experienced and highly skilled Vehicle Technicians from a motorsport, automotive dealership or specialist automotive environment, to join their expanding team on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to work within a cutting-edge automotive manufacturing environment, producing ultra-exclusive vehicles engineered for unrivalled driving experiences. Key Responsibilities: Support the production and assembly of low-volume, high-quality vehicles across all models at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Collaborate with team members, especially within Manufacturing Engineering, to meet production targets and ensure product quality. Operate machinery on a low-volume production line, loading/unloading and assembling parts while ensuring correct allocation to Stillages. Conduct quality checks for any defects and ensure accurate labelling of finished products. Accurately record data into the build book/log, including torque and serial number details. Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, identifying process improvements and corrective measures to enhance efficiency. Participate in problem-solving activities and support Cycle Time change planning, line rebalancing, trials, and training initiatives. Assist in new model activities and continuously work to improve the manufacturing process alongside engineering teams. Uphold shop safety initiatives and ensure timely resolution of any issues. Maintain the production standard of general housekeeping duties as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise: Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle repair or HND in Automotive or associated Engineering subject. 3+ years of experience in an automotive dealership or motorsport environment, ideally with an OEM or a similar low-volume manufacturing environment. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in automotive mechanics, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Understanding of various assembly processes and equipment used in automotive manufacturing. Proven ability to read and understand Engineering drawings. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in basic computer software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A team player who can thrive under pressure and contribute to meeting strict production targets. Possess a full UK driving license. Are you a Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? Main Purpose of Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager This role will see the successful candidate take ownership of cybersecurity project management within the connected vehicle domain. You will develop a deep working knowledge of connected car features and ensure cybersecurity compliance across multiple projects and stakeholders. Responsibilities of Connected Car Cybersecurity Project Manager Lead the coordination and schedule alignment with all relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with UN-R155 regulations. Provide progress reports on cybersecurity topics at management and vehicle milestone meetings. Forecast future resource and capability requirements and support team building accordingly. Maintain regular communication and coordination with Legal and Compliance teams. Lead supplier engagements to gather necessary cybersecurity-related information. Overall Purpose of the Position Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, this position will work on all areas affecting software control of their vehicles. The successful candidate will be given full support to develop into the role which will have exposure to all matters involved in the software design and development to operate the functions of these vehicles, specifically the embedded control software and associated HMI.
