CNC SETTER / OPERATOR Full-time Day shifts Alridge From £14.50 per hour We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our client s manufacturing team. Previous hands-on experience setting and operating HAAS CNC machines is preferred. Programming experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery, ensuring components are produced accurately and efficiently to the required drawings and specifications. We would still be interested in seeing CVs from experienced CNC Setters who have worked across a variety of CNC machines and controls. Main Duties: Set and operate HAAS CNC machines for production. Set up tooling, fixtures and machine parameters ready for production runs. Carry out machine adjustments and offsets where required. Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical drawings and specifications. Check components during set-up and production to ensure they meet the required dimensions and tolerances. Use precision measuring equipment including vernier/digital calipers and micrometers. Carry out first-off and ongoing dimensional checks. Identify and troubleshoot machining or tooling issues. Monitor tooling condition and make adjustments or changes where necessary. Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine machine checks. Ensure finished components meet the required quality standards. Record relevant production and inspection information where required. Work closely with Production and Quality to resolve any manufacturing issues. Maintain a safe, clean and organised working area. Candidates should have: Previous CNC setting and operating experience within a manufacturing environment. Good understanding of CNC machining processes. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers. Good mechanical and practical problem-solving skills. Ability to work accurately and maintain quality throughout production. Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC programming, CAD/CAM, GD&T and Fanuc controls would be advantageous but is not essential.
