Procurement Specialist - Construction and Facilities 12 month contract (will extend) - 40ph inside IR35 - Hybrid We are supporting a leading UK organisation within the construction and facilities space to appoint a Procurement Specialist to support indirect procurement activity across multiple stakeholders. This role suits someone hands on, process driven, and commercially minded, with experience supporting tendering, supplier management, and contract activity within construction or facilities management. Job Title Principal Structural Engineer Stevenage 4 days onsite, 1 WFH Contract Details 12 month contract 50 per hour Inside IR35 Overview A leading engineering organisation operating in the defence and advanced systems sector is looking to engage a Principal Structural Engineer to support complex mechanical analysis activities. You will join an established structural analysis function working on high integrity, safety critical products. This role suits someone who is technically strong, decisive, and comfortable owning complex analysis tasks from concept through to delivery. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for delivering high quality structural analysis to ensure products meet demanding performance and regulatory requirements. The role involves supporting design teams with both detailed and rapid assessments to enable efficient design progression. Required Skills and Experience Degree qualified in a STEM subject. Strong background in structural analysis using hand calculations and Finite Element methods. Experience with FE tools such as Altair is preferred, however candidates with experience using NASTRAN, ANSYS or equivalent will be considered. Experience in one or more of the following areas Static analysis Dynamic analysis Fatigue analysis Metallic and or composite structures Finite Element optimisation and Design of Experiments Mechanisms and multi body dynamics Crash or impact analysis Ability to make fast, pragmatic engineering judgements to keep design activities moving. Comfortable taking ownership of complex analysis tasks with minimal supervision. Able to work effectively within a multi disciplinary engineering environment, while also operating independently when required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage technical stakeholders. This role sits at the heart of a multi discipline development environment and requires someone who is genuinely hands on across design, test and verification. You will act as the design lead for specific RF electronics assemblies, working closely with system, software, mechanical and production teams to ensure successful integration and delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical ownership of assigned RF electronics designs from concept through to delivery. Hands on design, test, validation and proving of RF electronics hardware. Effective interface management with system stakeholders, design authorities and cross functional engineering teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and integrate correctly within the wider system. Collaborative working with software and firmware engineering, mechanical engineering, production and future development teams. Support design reviews and contribute to technical decision making across the programme. Required Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience designing complex RF electronics, typically multiple high complexity RF items using modern technologies. Strong experience designing for harsh operating environments including EMC, vibration and thermal constraints. Ability to design and guide implementation of RF receiver and transmitter chains, including amplifiers, filters and frequency synthesisers across the 30MHz to 30GHz range. Experience with Software Defined Radio technologies is a strong advantage. Solid knowledge of power supply design and digital interfaces within RF systems. Proven experience managing the development and delivery of RF electronic equipment through all stages of the product lifecycle. Degree qualified in Electronics, RF Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Strong planning and organisational skills with a track record of delivering to time and cost. Confident communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate with technical stakeholders. Self starting, delivery focused and comfortable taking ownership in a high accountability environment.
