Due to Restructuring of our clients Residential Children's Home, Buttons Recruitment are recruiting for a Deputy Manager for a Children's Residential Service based in Cambridgeshire. As a Deputy Manager of a children's residential service you will be a leader who leads from the front, you will be someone who is wanting to make their next move up as RM, and will be given the training and support to enable you to make the move up the ladder. You will be a multi-skilled, enthusiastic, resilient and a dedicated Deputy Manager who is ready to assist the Registered Manager in the running of a four-bedded registered children's home based in March, Cambridgeshire. The home caters for younger persons aged 10-18. The role Our client cares for looked-after children in residential and semi-independent supported accommodation so they can live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood. As a Deputy Manager soem duties will be as per below and you will be willing to onboard new team members to work alongside you and the team. You will providing care and support for looked after-children in a residential accommodation setting working alongside members of the homes staff team to provide the young persons with the necessary guidance to enable them to live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood. working on a shift basis to ensure children have their needs met and their welfare promoted while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. will ensure a timely response to the younger persons concerns. will support the referral and move-on process & respond appropriately to requests for the clients service. you will positively challenge unacceptable behaviour and support children;s emotional regulation. ensure that the younger persons feel safe at all times within their home. will provide a nurturing environment where children are and feel safe from harm. report directly to, as well as assisting the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day management of staff teams including induction, supervision, monitoring and development as well as completing annual appraisals. in the absence of the manager you will take control of the home. You'll have: At least 3 years' experience of working with children and young people At least 1 years' experience in a senior, managerial or team leader role Relevant educational or professional qualification(s) Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People and a good standard of secondary education A full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain business insurance The ability to identify the needs of young people An understanding of the importance of safeguarding young people Ideally have worked previously with younger persons who may have had Social, emotional and complex needs. This role will require an Enhanced DBS As a Deputy Manager of a Residential Children's Service, you will be expected to workcin and run the home in accordance with all statutory, regulatory and standards requirements including Children's Home Regulations 2015 & Care Standards Act 2000. We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to assist in the running of their Registered Children's Home based in Cambridge and Norwich. Days and Nights available. The homes are sized from 3 bedded homes to 8 bedded homes. The roles Our Clients take care of looked-after children in residential and semi-independent supported accommodation so they can live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood. We're now looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join various teams / homes across Norfolk & Cambridgeshire. As Residential Support Worker you'll be: Ensuring that all children and young people have their needs met and are safeguarded from harm, neglect, abuse or exploitation Responding to any childcare concerns appropriately Ensuring that the building, equipment and furniture in the home is well maintained Working effectively and co-ordinating with social workers, parents/guardians and other connected professional agencies The ideal candidate You'll have: A UK driving licence, and the ability to reliably commute to the home A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (for the right candidate they are willing to offer training pathways to this qualification) Will be happy working as part of a small tight knit team Willing to work to a set rota pattern. Clear and consice written and spoken English, having an additional language could be an advantage, but not required. Be a car driver.
