My client are on the lookout for a highly skilled bench joiner to join the team, You will be expected to produce high quality joinery. As a Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality joinery. You will be responsible for operating a range of machinery and hand tools to construct and assemble a variety of products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specific instructions to manufacture joinery and staircases Measure, cut, shape, and fit wood and other materials to construct furniture pieces, such as cabinets, desks, and shelves Use a range of machinery and hand tools, including saws, drills, planers, and sanders, to work on different construction projects Apply appropriate finishes, such as stains, varnishes, or paints, to enhance the appearance and protect the surfaces of the joinery and furniture Collaborate with other team members, such as designers and project managers, to ensure the timely completion of projects Inspect and test finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and safe to use

My client are looking for a full time, experienced bench joiner/cabinet maker to join there team manufacturing joinery in there well-equipped and modern workshop. Role will include: Manufacture of bespoke joinery Understand and read production drawings Senior level joinery workshop experience

You will be joining a fast paced and rapidly growing company, your ability to hit the ground running and being able to work on your own initiative is necessary. Also being part of the undercoating, sanding and top coating painting processes, ensuring that all component carcasses and parts which together make up whole furniture pieces are ready for the final assembly process to agreed standards of quality and time. Good personal organisation and time management skills. Good understanding of furniture manufacture and finishing.

The key tasks of the quantity surveyor that my client are looking to recruit for are listed below. Responsibitilies: Procurement of sub-contractors Prepare tender documents Evaluate tender returns and provide recommendation to contracts Director/Commercial Manager Prepare and send sub-contract order documents to appointed contractor Ensure receipt of all relevant documents from sub-contractor before their works commence on site Sub-contractor payments Check/agree interim valuation, request invoice and issue along with payment certificate to commercial manager/contracts director/accounts Provide payment forecast to commercial manager/contracts director/accounts Check and confirm any variations Issue instruction for additional works where necessary Interim Valuations & Final Accounts Check and agree monthly valuations against contract sum Agreed valuation should cover actual spend on project Agree Final Accounts with Employer Design team / consultant meetings Attend meetings to keep up to date with design progress Carry out market research/cost analysis for design proposals where required Action any relevant points raised in meetings Site queries Assist site team/sub-contractors with technical queries Contact relevant consultant/designer if required to Sub-contractor progress meetings Monitor along with project manager / site team contractor progress against contract programme Assist in ensuring that the contractor is working in line with issued contract Assist in resolving any issues raised Site procurement meetings Action relevant issues raised in meetings Raise any procurement issues that the site team need be made aware of Assist in resolving any issues raised

The Role: • Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project/enquiry. • Calculating preliminary costs, in conjunction with Account Managers and Delivery Teams • Developing client relationships to enhance opportunities to tender, negotiate and enhance tender margins. • Liaising with the Client and Design Team during the tender process • Producing sub-contract and material enquires for joinery. • Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations • Checking tender documents, making amendments where required • Abstracting information into subcontract and material packages • Identifying scope for design alternatives and value engineering • Attending site surveys when required • Attend post tender negotiations with clients. To be considered for this role you will require: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (to include English & Maths). At least 3 years relevant experience in the construction industry Excellent numerical and literacy skills. Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft library (Word, Excel etc). Excellent level of attention to details and organisational skills. Ability to work to deadlines and provide a high standard of work while doing so. A team player with the motivation to be successful. Preferred Experience: Experience in the Façade industry (Glazing, and Curtain Walling) Experience with pricing in LogiKal HNC level qualification, or above
