My client are looking for a CNC Programmer within the joinery manufacturing industry. The role will involve running the in-house CNC Machines. The ideal candidate will be looking for a new challenge in a demanding work environment. Responsibilities Ability to manage yourself and your time Manage stock levels and inform management of any shortages Reading drawings from the technical team Breaking down drawings for programming Ensuring the CNCs are operating to maximum capacity. CNC must always be ahead of production/joinery department. Machining sheet material such as MDF, Plywoods, Veneered and laminated boards, composites, acrylics. Joiner/Bench Joiner required to work on high end joinery projects. • To manufacture and assembly of bespoke joinery items. • To adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures. • To understand and follow the COSHH and PPE requirements of working within the manufacturing facility. • To work within your capabilities at all times - do not perform tasks or operate machinery for which you are not trained and deemed competent. • To work unsupervised or under instruction from supervision. • To be actively involved in the development of this role to encompass further responsibilities in the future, through personal development and further training as and when required. • To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines where appropriate. • To understand and comply with the Company Policies covering Sustainability, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and the Environment. • To understand and comply with the Employees Handbook. • To carry out any other such duties or responsibilities that may be reasonably required and that are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this position. Senior Bench Joiner & Team Leader experience required. The successful candidate will have: • Experience as a bench joiner/cabinet maker • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing joinery • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety • Knowledge of different woodworking tools and machinery as well as hand and power tools • A meticulous and organised nature • Must be confident consulting with suppliers and co-workers Main responsibilities: • All aspects of wood machining and assembly • Reading drawings and interpreting accurately • Completing high-end projects from start to finish to set deadlines • Confident in the daily operation of joinery machinery and tools, production of bespoke joinery from drawings to final product and reporting progress to the production manager. • Must be able to adapt products to fit client requirements/changes • Monitor and assess stock, ensuring stock is at correct levels • Selecting and evaluating materials for defects, reporting issues to management • Must have good housekeeping, keep the workshop, and stores tidy and always organised • Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations always • Deliver excellent frontline service to clients, contractors, and suppliers • A team player able to manage their time, complete daily documentation and be flexible enough to assist where required, be it on the bench or assist with preparation etc.

As a Bench Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality joinery. You will be responsible for operating a range of machinery and hand tools to construct and assemble a variety of products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specific instructions to manufacture joinery and staircases Measure, cut, shape, and fit wood and other materials to construct furniture pieces, such as cabinets, desks, and shelves Use a range of machinery and hand tools, including saws, drills, planers, and sanders, to work on different construction projects Apply appropriate finishes, such as stains, varnishes, or paints, to enhance the appearance and protect the surfaces of the joinery and furniture Collaborate with other team members, such as designers and project managers, to ensure the timely completion of projects Inspect and test finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and safe to use

REQUIREMENTS OF BENCH JOINERS/CABINET MAKERS Must have experience manufacturing high end joinery and cabinetry. Must be located within commutable distance Time served (minimum 3 years) or NVQ in bench joinery or equivalent. Experience in modern woodworking machinery and hand tools. Experience in reading drawings, templates & written instructions. Products are all bespoke and range from sliding sash windows, casement windows, doors, screens and architectural mouldings. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to use problem-solving and critical thinking skills. To be able to work independently or as part of a team. You will be required to set up and run industrial roofing and cladding construction contracts. To be the clients point of contact for all aspects of the project and to take full responsibility from concept to delivery ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. To manage the project costs and provide profit from your jobs to enable continued growth and investment into the business. The Role: • Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project/enquiry. • Calculating preliminary costs, in conjunction with Account Managers and Delivery Teams • Developing client relationships to enhance opportunities to tender, negotiate and enhance tender margins. • Liaising with the Client and Design Team during the tender process • Producing sub-contract and material enquires for the woodworking/joinery products. • Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations • Checking tender documents, making amendments where required • Abstracting information into subcontract and material packages • Identifying scope for design alternatives and value engineering • Attending site surveys when required • Attending adjudication meeting and present full tender to Estimating Manager, ensuring all risks are highlighted. • Attend post tender negotiations with clients. Key Skills • Previous experience in management of shopfitting contracts. • Communication at all levels both internally and externally. • Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
