You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet and you can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment. The type of work as a HGV Technician you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) Routine (and preventative) maintenance MOT preparation Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards 6 (or 8) weekly inspections Hydraulics and pneumatics Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections Requirements for this HGV Technician position: Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential. Your commute is from your front door to your fully expensed and kitted out Light Commercial Vehicle Day shifts - 45 hour week In this role, no 2 days will ever be the same and the products that you work on will be diverse. HGV s, Ground Support GSE, RORO (Roll on Roll Off), Fire and rescue, Tractors and Tugs plus other bespoke operating platforms. We are looking for a self motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing: Callouts Preventative Maintenance Emergency Breakdowns Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites MOT Preparation Engine work and diagnostic investigations Correction of running defects Chassis and fabrication work Hydraulics and pneumatics Improvement of vehicle standards Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections Your industry is moving faster with every day that passes. Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles are now part of the present and you will be trained on the newest products and repair techniques when required. A Class2 Licence would be beneficial. You will need to be a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or have been accredited via an authorised Apprenticeship. Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Fitter Salary: £41,000 - £44,000 per annum split shifts You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained however is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first class service. Job Duties: Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial vehicles Performing routine maintenance tasks Installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle components Testing vehicles to ensure proper functionality Following safety protocols and regulations Keeping accurate records of work performed MOT preparation Routine (and preventative) maintenance Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards 6 (or 8) weekly inspections Hydraulics and pneumatics Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a commercial vehicle fitter Time served will be considered Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team
