Take ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations, including large inventory balances. Manage overhead reporting, analysing performance against budget and providing clear insight to stakeholders. Business partner with operational teams to improve processes, drive efficiencies and support cost control initiatives. Key requirements: Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) working towards completion. Previous experience in a management accounting or similar finance role. Strong Excel skills with the ability to handle large data sets and develop reporting. Highly organised with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workload, and maintain strong attention to detail. We are partnered with a high-growth, internationally energy business seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to join their finance leadership team in Bathgate (hybrid working available). As part of this next phase, the business is strengthening its finance infrastructure to support increasing international activity and operational complexity. Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the CFO, this is a highly visible role where you will lead core finance operations, enhance financial processes and build a scalable control environment capable of supporting continued growth. Key responsibilities: • Take full ownership of accounting operations and core finance processes across the group. • Lead and enhance the month-end close process, improving the accuracy, timeliness and insightfulness of financial reporting. • Manage and develop an international finance team, driving performance and accountability. • Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and automation.
