We are recruiting for a temp to perm Glass Techician for our client in the Ellesmere Port area. Main Duties: Load and unload products in the yards area, work as part of a team and be able to bend and pick up items To carry out driving duties transporting material around site and loading of vehicles whilst working outdoors. Loading shovel license and access platform You must have a detailed knowledge of all current manufacturing processes. To ensure the safe efficient operation of the plant including routine maintenance, production levels, and production related quality and target achievement for the site under your control as directed by the Senior Glass Technicians. To assist the safe operating and usage of all plant, and for the repairs and breakdown of equipment machinery and site operated vehicles, in use or in operation on the site, and for removing from service any of these items having any faults or defects which might bring their safe use or operation into question, and the reporting to the Senior Glass Technicians accordingly. Develop and maintain all process documentation, ensuring compliance with current standards on safety, quality, reliability, and process, and ensures standards are followed. Flexibility to cover all technician rolls throughout the plant. Sets and maintains high standards for housekeeping. Assist in shutdowns where required. Identifies sources of issues on plant quality or reliability. Ensures downtime escalation procedure is followed. Carry out any tasks designated by management (of any grade or title) in a safe and diligent manner. In addition, you are required to comply fully with employment and health and safety related rules, policies, and safe working measures and procedures, including obedience to signage. At no time will you attempt to access, operate, or use, any item of plant, equipment, machinery. Or site vehicles unless you are trained and authorised to do so. You must also not attempt to clean, make alterations to, or attempt maintenance or repair to any item of plant, equipment, machinery, or site vehicle unless trained and authorised to do so. The ideal candidate will have an in date, or recently expired Shovel Licence and willing for work 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
