You ll be testing the integrity of critical component parts of aircraft Using digital x-ray devices to ensure there are no cracks, flaws or fractures, this naturally requires your absolute attention to detail Other tasks include undertaking helium gas leak detection and penetrating dye inspection of machined components You need Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 NAS410 or EN 4179 or equivalent, experience in NDT quality control and inspection, preferably in the aerospace, automotive, nuclear, rail or medical device engineering sector including the analysis of film or digital x-ray images. This is a daytime shift working 8.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.00 midday Friday. They re surprisingly small, about the size of an empty toilet roll but they contain small mechanisms that require your full attention in assembling the right way. You ll need to be able to read assembly diagrams, engineering drawings and use hand tools to ensure small components are assembled correctly and in the right order. These components are produced on highly advanced CNC machines and you will be responsible for their preparation before the anodising, plating and painting processes You ll be running a series of linishing, rumbling and vibrating deburring machines, degreasing, anodising and polishing, checking components against engineering drawings and then transfering the components to the anodising department Some components require masking to protect surfaces from the chemicals used You ll need commercial experience in abrasive cleaning, deburring, degreasing, demonstrating safety knowledge in the handling of hazardous chemicals There s lot of available overtime on 2 shifts; 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Friday OR a rotating early 6am-2pm and 1.45pm-10pm shift pattern if preferred (the shift option comes with a 22.5% pay uplift) in this very clean and modern factory CV not ready?
